What do we expect from customer services? And more importantly, what should we expect? At ClearScore we believe a customer services team should be friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely care about your query. And we’ve got a great group of dedicated people who do just that. In this blog, we get to know them a bit more.

First up, Lily!

Lily

Who are you and what do you do at ClearScore?
I’m Lily, I recently graduated from Exeter Uni, and I work on the Customer Operations team.

What are your favourite parts of the job?
I love working in a start-up company- everyone knows everyone well and there’s a real team spirit at ClearScore. I also find it really rewarding helping our customers solve problems. That and all the cake, of course.

What have you worked on recently that you’re proud of?
I recently rewrote the FAQ page to make it as helpful and concise as I could- hopefully this will help people have their problems sorted as quickly as possible!

What do you listen to while working?
Depends what kind of mood I’m in! When I’m more relaxed usually Chet Faker, if I’m feeling cultured then I love the piano- Einaudi is my favourite. But if I’m feeling like I need some energy I’ll put on some upbeat future house stuff!

Where did you grow up?
I’ve lived in the Surrey hills all my life, so I’m a country girl at heart. Although I love working in the city.

What are you most looking forward to over Christmas?
I’m really excited about going ice skating with the office! But apart from that, it’s got to be all the presents, obviously. Oh, and mince pies… and Christmas jumpers.

What super power would you like to have?
I know it’s a cliché but flying would be so cool! Or teleportation- not having to deal with trains would be the best.

Tegan

Who are you and what do you do at ClearScore?
I’m Tegan, and I work in Customer Operations – my job is to delight our customers every day!

What are your favourite parts of the job?
When we get great feedback from customers, and where getting a ClearScore report has helped someone detect something that shouldn’t be there so they can improve their score. Also, getting to work with such a fun, talented and driven team who dream big!

Where did you grow up?
In the small beach-side, sunshine-capital of New Zealand: Whakatane. Go on, try to pronounce it, I dare you!

What’s your favourite thing to do in London?
Exploring museums, parks, churches, old buildings and generally anything that awakens the history nerd inside me! I’m particularly enamoured by the V&A Museum. I think I could live there.

What’s the best piece of money advice you’ve ever been given?
Spending to save is not saving at all.

What super power would you like to have?
Telekinesis, hands down! (Pun potentially intended). That means I can move things with my mind, but also move myself with my mind, so that I can fly too! (Yes I have thought about this before).

Greg

Who are you and what do you do at ClearScore?
I’m Greg, and I work for Customer Operations. I joined ClearScore before we released the product to the public and before we had any users.
With help from Ola and others in the team, we worked to build up the help centre and be in a position to fully understand the credit world, anticipate and tackle all the queries which arise from the ClearScore users. As well as answering customers’ questions, I train new members of the team.

What are your favourite parts of the job?
Being able to listen to the customer, understanding user issues, trying to get them fixed and passing on feedback/improvements onto the team to make ClearScore better.

What have you worked on recently that you’re extra proud of?
Recently I’ve been putting new measures in place to increase efficiency, and looking ahead to the future and welcoming lots more ClearScore customers.

What are your favourite blogs/websites?
Sports news- football, cricket, tennis etc. Start-up/business/tech news.

What’s the best piece of money advice you’ve ever been given?
Know what comes in, and what goes out.

What super power would you like to have?
Time control/travel!
