CLEARSCORE - ANTI MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT

INTRODUCTION

This statement is made pursuant to section 54, Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the Act) and sets out the steps that we have taken and our commitment to improving our practices to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains or any parts of our business.

ClearScore has a zero tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings and to putting effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery.

OUR BUSINESS

ClearScore launched in the UK market in July 2015. It was founded with a mission to improve financial wellbeing across the general UK population, regardless of the individuals’ financial circumstances. This mission started with offering credit scores and reports for free, while also providing a marketplace to search for personalised offers on credit cards, loans, auto-finance and other financial products. ClearScore forms a part of the group of companies owned by Credit Laser Holding Limited, a Jersey based group with entities operating in South Africa, India and Australia.

OUR SUPPLY CHAINS

The majority of ClearScore operations take place in markets that do not pose a high risk of modern slavery. Wherever ClearScore employs supply chains in markets which may pose a risk, it ensures that appropriate measures are in place to greatly mitigate or eliminate the risk. As such, a risk based approach has been adopted to reviewing supply chains. When entering into a new business relationship, ClearScore requests that its prospective suppliers complete a due diligence self-assessment as part of its compliance programme. This self-assessment process will include an evaluation of the prospective supplier’s compliance with the Modern Slavery Act, including their own published statements on the matter.

OUR POLICIES ON SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING

ClearScore is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in the supply chains or in any part of our business. This guiding principle is supported by our Whistleblowing Policy, which encourages and provides clear guidance on raising concerns in confidence relating to any wrongdoings. Any reports raised with the Reporting Officer will be fully investigated and appropriate remedial actions taken.

TRAINING

ClearScore staff receive training on the Modern Slavery Act and how to identify signs and their roles in the prevention of modern slavery or human trafficking. The training provided also ensures that staff understand the applicable legislation and ClearScore’s zero tolerance approach.
