On this page, you can find and read the terms and conditions that apply to new users of the premium version of ClearScore Protect, called the “Protect Plus” service (“Protect Plus”) promoted by ClearScore Technology Limited (”ClearScore”). Please read these terms carefully and in full. They contain conditions and restrictions on the availability of Protect Plus promotional offers and information on what happens after your Protect Plus promotional offer ends.
Protect Plus Promotional Offers (each a "Promotional Offer") are made available by ClearScore to users subject to their Protect Plus Promotional Offer Terms (the “Promotional Offer Terms”), the ClearScore Protect Plus Terms ("Protect Plus Terms") and the ClearScore Terms & Conditions (”ClearScore Terms”).
These Promotional Offer Terms supplement and incorporate by reference any additional terms and conditions corresponding to the particular Protect Plus service, such as the Protect Plus insurance cover terms.
For any Promotional Offer, in the event of any inconsistency between these Promotional Offer Terms and the relevant corresponding terms and conditions referenced above, the following order of precedence shall apply: (i) ClearScore Terms; (ii) Protect Plus Terms; and (ii) Promotional Offer Terms; and (iv) any other additional terms and conditions.
This Promotional Offer (the “Free Trial”) is available from 22 September 2023 on ClearScore’s iOS and Android app. It provides full access to the Protect Plus service:
- Without payment; and
- For an initial introductory period of one 1 month (“Free Trial Period”), starting on acceptance of the Protect Plus Terms and by submitting valid payment details that are accepted by ClearScore as part of the sign up process.
By submitting your payment details, you:
- Confirm your acceptance of the Free Trial advertised
- Accept and agree to these Promotional Offer Terms, including the relevant terms and conditions corresponding to the Protect Plus service such as the Protect Plus insurance cover terms.; and
- Acknowledge and agree to the ClearScore Protect Plus Terms and the ClearScore Terms.
All information collected by ClearScore under this Promotional Offer will be processed and used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Free Trial, you must satisfy all of the following conditions:
- Be a resident of the UK (England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales), aged 18 years or over.
- Have a valid registered ClearScore account during the time of the promotion.
- Have an active Protect Free Subscription.
If you’re eligible, you may sign up to the Free Trial once. Previous users may not redeem the offer again. The Free Trial is not available to users who have had a Protect Plus subscription, or participated in a previous Promotional Offer regarding the Protect Plus Service previously available via the ClearScore UK iOS or Android app in the UK.
Activating the Free Trial
To sign up for the Free Trial, your must select between a monthly or annual Protect Plus subscription plan and provide a valid payment method. The Free Trial will automatically start when you submit valid payment details.
Free Trial end
Unless you cancel the Free Trial at least one (1) day before the Free Trial Period ends, you will automatically become a recurring subscriber to your chosen Protect Plus subscription plan, and you will automatically be charged the relevant applicable subscription fee(s).
Cancelling
If you cancel the Free Trial during the Free Trial Period, you will lose access to your respective ClearScore Protect Plus service at the end of that period. After this, your account will automatically switch to the free version of the ClearScore Protect service.
To cancel, you should visit ‘Protect’ under the ‘My Account’ section of your ClearScore account. There are no cancellation fees and you can start or stop your subscription at any time. You will continue to have access to the ClearScore Protect Plus service through to the end of the Free Trial Period.
Changes to the Free Trial
Except where prohibited by law, ClearScore reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate any Promotional Offer at any time and for any reason, at its sole discretion.
