CLEARSCORE - ANTI MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT
FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025
INTRODUCTION
This statement is made pursuant to section 54, Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the Act) and sets out our commitment and steps taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains.
ClearScore has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity and transparency in all business dealings. We have therefore implemented effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery.
OUR BUSINESS
ClearScore launched in the UK market in July 2015. It was founded with a mission to improve financial wellbeing across the general UK population, regardless of the individuals’ financial circumstances. This mission started with offering credit scores and reports for free, while also providing a marketplace to search for personalised offers on credit cards, loans, auto-finance and other financial products. We have continued to expand, launching alternative apps such as DriveScore, and are one of the biggest innovators within the Open Banking space.
ClearScore forms a part of the group of companies owned by Credit Laser Holding Limited, with entities operating in South Africa, Canada, New Zealand and Australia.
OUR SUPPLY CHAINS
The majority of ClearScore operations take place in markets that pose a very low risk of modern slavery. Wherever ClearScore employs supply chains in markets which may pose a risk, it ensures that appropriate measures are in place to greatly mitigate or eliminate the risk. As such, a risk-based approach has been adopted to reviewing supply chains.
When entering into a new business relationship, ClearScore requests that its prospective suppliers complete a due diligence self-assessment as part of its compliance programme. This self-assessment includes questions on any outsourced activities of the supplier, how third parties are monitored and their assessment of modern slavery risk. Where concerns are raised, this is escalated internally.
OUR POLICIES ON SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING
ClearScore is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in the supply chains or in any part of our business.
This guiding principle is supported by our Whistleblowing Policy, which encourages and provides clear guidance on raising concerns in confidence relating to any wrongdoings. Any reports raised with the Reporting Officer will be fully investigated and appropriate remedial actions taken.
ClearScore employees are also required to act in line with our Code of Conduct, which sets out the key standards of behaviour that are to be respected at all times. The Code aims to ensure that staff are honest and open, and that working at ClearScore remains a positive experience.
TRAINING
ClearScore staff receive annual training on the Modern Slavery Act and how to identify signs and their roles in the prevention of modern slavery or human trafficking. This training also ensures that staff understand the applicable legislation and ClearScore’s zero tolerance approach.
