You earn 1 Clubcard point for every £1 spent in-store or online at Tesco, and 1 point for every 2 litres of fuel bought at Tesco petrol stations. Points can also be collected via Tesco Bank and Tesco Mobile.
Each point is worth 1p when converted into a Clubcard voucher. You need a minimum of 150 points to generate a voucher, which converts to £1.50 to spend either in the supermarket or with Tesco's Reward Partners (covered below).
Vouchers can be spent at face value in-store, or exchanged for boosted value with Reward Partners — which is where most of the scheme's flexibility comes from, and the subject of the next two sections.
Clubcard vouchers can be exchanged for Reward Partner codes worth more than their face value. Since June 2023, the standard rate has been double value — 50p in vouchers converts to £1 in Reward Partner credit. This followed an earlier reduction in 2018, when the rate dropped from quadruple to triple value.
Reward Partners span categories including dining, streaming, and days out — for example PizzaExpress, Disney+, and English Heritage. The list of partners and any promotional rates above this base 2x level can change; that's covered in the next section.
Beyond the standard 2x rate, Tesco periodically runs limited-time promotions that boost specific Reward Partners to an even higher multiplier. In January 2026, for example, Tesco moved seven restaurant partners — including PizzaExpress, ASK Italian, Bella Italia, Frankie & Benny's, Prezzo, Zizzi, and new partner Las Iguanas — to triple value, where 50p in vouchers converted to £1.50 in dining credit.
The list of Reward Partners itself also changes independently of any promotion — easyJet holidays, for instance, joined as a new Reward Partner in 2024.
Timing appears to play a role in when these promotions run: Tesco's January 2026 triple-value push was explicitly framed around "Blue Monday" (the third Monday in January, often labelled the year's most miserable day). Other factors beyond seasonality are likely at play too, though Tesco hasn't published a stated rationale for its promotional timing or partner selection.
Because both the partner list and any above-base multipliers change, don't treat any specific promotion as a standing offer — check the Tesco app's Reward Partners section for what's currently available.
Separately from points and vouchers, Tesco offers Clubcard Prices — discounts on selected products available only to Clubcard holders, both in-store and online. These rotate regularly rather than applying to a fixed set of products.
A November 2024 review by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), examining around 50,000 loyalty-priced products across five UK supermarkets including Tesco, found that loyalty pricing generally offers genuine savings: 92% of the products reviewed were discounted against their usual price, with average savings ranging from 17% to 25% across the five retailers examined. This figure reflects an average across all five schemes studied, not a Tesco-specific one, and the CMA also noted that loyalty prices aren't always the cheapest available — it's still worth comparing against other retailers.
Tesco also offers Clubcard Plus, a paid subscription providing an additional 10% off two in-store shops per month, plus other benefits. It comes with a one-month free trial, then costs £7.99 a month, and can be cancelled at any time.
