ClearScore is a credit broker, not a lender.

The Costco TrueEarnings American Express was a no-annual-fee cashback card, available to Costco members in the UK. Rewards were paid once a year as a Costco voucher rather than as a statement credit, redeemable in store.

The card paid its highest rate on dining, with a further enhanced rate on travel bookings, and a lower rate on general spending. Rewards on dining and travel were uncapped; general spending rewards were capped at £300 a year, a level requiring around £30,000 of annual spend to reach. The card charged foreign transaction fees, which limited its usefulness overseas.

American Express closed the card to new applicants in May 2019. This followed the end of its Costco card-issuing contract in the United States a few years earlier.

Our guide to UK grocery credit cards sets out which cards currently earn supermarket rewards or cashback.
